KONARE HEIGHTS is situated within the village of Konare which lies in the municipality of General Toshivo close to Bulgaria's beautiful Black Sea Coast. Surrounded by green unspoilt countryside it represents the ultimate in peaceful rural living with all the facilities of the main resort areas being a short drive away.
Following are some of the highlights of the surrounding towns and cities to give you some ideas of what is on offer within an hours drive of the village:-
Kavarna
Only 15 minutes drive from Konare, it has many shops, bars and restaurants and a fine sandy beach. During the Summer, the town hosts a number of festivals and concerts by internationally known singers and rock bands. It is a good spot from which to explore the cliffs to the north which culminate in Cape Kaliakra - one of the most beautiful spots in Bulgaria and internationally famous for its bird life and dolphins.
Close to the town are situated three golf courses under construction - the Gary Player course is designed to an international specification and tournaments are expected to be played there.
Balchik
25 minutes from the village, this town is the jewel in the crown of the Northern Black Sea Coast. It has a fine harbor, marina and many bars and restaurants. The town's botanic gardens are world famous with six hundred varieties of trees alone. Located
within the grounds is the Palace of Queen Maria who was born in Kent and was a grand daughter of Queen Victoria.
Albena and Golden Sands
Located 35 and 45 minutes from Konare, these two resorts have everything you could ever want in a sea side resort. There are huge fine sandy beaches, dining to suit all tastes, discos, clubs and just about any activity you could wish to take part in.
